DURATION: 5 Days / 4 Nights
• 2 nights at Ayers Rock Resort
• 1 night at Kings Canyon Resort
• 1 night in Alice Springs
Day 1: On arrival at Ayers Rock Airport, you will be transferred to the resort. Later this afternoon, enjoy a leisurely drive out to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) to witness a magnificent outback sunset whilst enjoy a glass of sparkling wine.
Day 2: Today watch the sunrise over Kata Tjuta with Uluru (Ayers Rock) in the distance and enjoy a 2 - 3 hour walk to the Valley of the Winds. Visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre and travel around the base of Uluru, learning about the numerous sacred sites. Later, witness the striking colour changes of Uluru while enjoying nibbles and sparkling wine. After sunset continue to and exclusive barbecue venue for dinner and desert, plus time for stargazing.
Day 3: Rise early to experience acclaimed artist Bruce Munro’s Field of Light. Under cover of darkness, wander through 50,000 magical hand-crafted frosted glass spheres of light. Then make your way to the dune top, where you’ll be served tea, coffee or hot chocolate. Watch in awe as the sun pops up in the distance behind Uluru, flooding the landscape, including Kata Tjuta behind you, with light. As the landscape brightens, the Field of Light will dim for the day. In the early afternoon you’ll travel through spectacular desert scenery on your way to Kings Canyon.
Day 4: Join a guided climb to the rim of Kings Canyon for marvellous views. Or, you may wish to take an easier, shorter walk to explore the boulder-strewn canyon creek bed. Afterwards, travel to Alice Springs, where your dropped off at your hotel.
Day 5: Today there is free time for any last minute sightseeing or shopping before your flight.
